Cooking is the greatest art in the world

What do you do for happiness? Your answer may be earning money. Some of you will say, ‘I travel.’ Some of you will say, ‘I love to spend time with my loved ones.’ And some of you don’t know what to do. Yet, in my view, those people are lucky enough who pursue any art as a tool to find happiness. But if you ask me what I do for my mind’s pleasure, trust me, guys, I have one word to fulfill my demand for happiness. Ladies and gentlemen, Heshel Diary presents to you the greatest art in the world, which will force you to surrender your soul and body to it. Preparing food is the most wonderful art in the world.

There is a Bollywood movie called “Cheeni Kum”. In that movie, Amitabh Bachchan played the role of a chef. He said to his staff, “We are the greatest artists in the world.” Really, guys, I completely agree with this statement. A painter’s painting will only arouse your eyes, a singer will arouse ears. But a cook will bring all the senses to you to connect with your soul.

For me, cooking is chemistry; the kitchen is my lab, and I’m the scientist. I live in a society where women traditionally make food in the kitchen, and there is a belief that men should not step into the kitchen. But I’m here to break the unwritten rule. I started cooking when I was a 16-year-old boy. My first dish was “Maggi noodles”. It’s hard to believe that my first attempt was immensely tasty. My mother was very impressed by me. Actually, she is my inspiration. Right from the day I took the initiative to cook noodles again, and guess what? I burned the onions. That’s how I started my journey of making food.

Moreover, cooking isn’t just about making food to eat. It’s about being creative, passionate, and connecting with others. Whether you’re baking a cake or making a soup, cooking involves using all your senses and feeding not only your body but also your heart and soul. So, let’s see the kitchen as our playground, and with every meal we cook, let’s celebrate cooking as the most amazing form of art there is.
