Poha recipe | A Simple Snacks

Ingredients

  1. Flattened Rice
  2. Onion
  3. Green Chili
  4. Coriander Leaves
  5. Cashew Nuts
  6. Salt
  7. Turmeric Powder
  8. Cooking Oil

Cooking

1.First, take 100g of flattened rice and give it a nice wash once, then drain out the water. Do not soak it in water. After a wash, the rice will absorb itself as needed in 5 minutes. Add a little salt at that point to make the rice salty and let it rest.

2. Chop 1 medium-sized onion.

3. Chop 3 pieces of green chili in half or into thirds.

4. Chop some coriander leaves.

5. Take a pan on the stove and turn on the heat to medium flame.

6. Put 2 tbsp. of cooking oil and let it warm up.

7. Once the oil gets hot, add 20g of cashew nuts and roast them until they turn brown.

8. After the nuts get slightly brown, add the chopped onion. We are not going to fry the onion fully; we just want to reduce the sharpness of the onion.

9. After 10 seconds, add a pinch of salt and turmeric.

10. Then add the flattened rice.

11. After adding the rice, give it a nice and gentle toss.

12. After mixing all the ingredients, add the coriander leaves.

13. Finally, splash some water with your hand and cover the pan with a lid. Just after 5 seconds, turn off the heat.

Your Poha is ready.

Pro tip: Do not keep the Poha in the cooking pan. Serve it immediately on a plate.

Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with Jilapi/Jalebi. The combination of Poha and Jalebi is incredible.
